Now is Alex Rios - Chicago White Soxthe time to pick up Alex Rios of the Chicago White Sox.  Rios is hitting .297 with 8 home runs and 7 stolen bases but is still unowned in 35% of fantasy leagues.  After a dismal 2011 campaign, Rios appears to be back to his 201o form where he batted .281 with 21 home-runs and 34 stolen bases ranking him among the best outfielders in fantasy baseball.





Phillies Turn Attention To Carlos Quintin

The Phillies, who lost out to the Giant in the Carlos Beltran sweepstakes are reportedly interested in Chicago White Sox outfielder Carlos Quentin, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports latest tweet. The Phillies and White Sox were reportedly linked in trade talks for Quintin prior to the 2011 season. Philadelphia apparently has renewed interest.

The Phillies rivals, the Atlanta Braves, have been the team most rumored to be going after Quintin and the Sox have been scouting the Atlanta farm system for potential trade candidates for weeks now. Quintin has a .265/.356/.516 line with 20 homeruns this year. Quintin will be arbitration eligible for the final time following this season.

With the season winding down and some players already starting to pack it in, I’ve decided to come up with an anti-All*Star team.  This team is comprised of a player at each position, who has just absolutely sucked this year.  They may not be the worst at their position, but they should be so much better.  These players have all started more games at their position for their respective teams than any other member of their team.  Because I compiled the team this way, So Taguchi didn’t quite make the cut.  But I think I may bring him on as the bat boy.  So let’s get to the team.  I warn you, some of the stats you are about to see are pretty shocking.  It is not for the faint of heart baseball fan.

Barack Obama Blasts Cubs Fans!

While Eric Cartman preaches “Westside,” apparently Presidential hopeful Barack Obama is all about the Southside.  When asked by Stuart Scott about the possibility of a cross-town World Series between the Cubs and White Sox, Obama replied…”I would be going.”  And when asked who he’d be rooting for, Obama replied “Oh, that’s easy, White Sox.”  He then went on to say “I’m not one of these fair weather fans.  You go to Wrigley Field, you have a beer, beautiful people up there.
