Philadelphia 76ers Trade Dalembert

17 06 2010

The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to a trade with the Sacremento Kings in which they will send Samuel Dalembert and his expiring contract to the Kings in exchange for Andres Nocioni and Spencer Hawes. The deal was first reported by Chad Ford of ESPN.

Nocioni has a bloated contract, with $6.85M, $6.65M and $7.5M remaining over the next three seasons.

Hawes is 7’1 and just 22 years old. He will become a restricted free agent after the coming season. Hawes can shoot from the outside, offering the Sixers an element they have not seen from the center position in quite some time.
