Eagles Add TE

The Philadelphia Eagles have officially announced the release of Rob Myers from the practice squad and have replaced him with Martin ruckerRucker, who was released by the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday. Rucker was a fourth-round pick in 2008 from Missouri and was believed to be the Browns TE of the future not long ago. Many believed the team traded All-Pro tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. to the Tampa Buccaneers in order to make room for Rucker in the starting lineup. In the end, the Browns viewed Rucker as an above average pass catcher but inadequete blocker. In other words, the type of TE that the Eagles covet.
