Eagles Ink Middle Linebacker

The Eagles have acted swiftly following the unfortunate season ending injury to starting middle linebacker Stewart Bradley, who tore his ACL in Sunday’s Flight Night Scrimmage. Kevin Acee of the San Diego Tribune is reporting that recently released linebacker Matt Wilhelm, formerly of the San Diego Chargers, has agreed to a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. Wilhelm is 26 years old and played six seasons in San Diego, the last two as a starter. He was a fourth round pick out out of Ohio State in 2003. It is still believed that Joe Mays is the odds on favorite to replace Bradley in the middle.
